Volume 5 Wild Mercury, inspired by Bob Dylan, features the work of many fine writers, among them M. M. De Voe's short story "The Mayor of Flashback," a motorcyle memoir "Riding Rockets: The Inward Road" by Ciro Coelho, and Sharon MaHarry's flash fiction piece about grief, "My Heart." Also featured is Shelly Lowenkopf's poetry section, including poets such as by Laure-Anne Bosselaar and Wang Ping. The artwork of Mary Heebner, a Santa Barbara artist, graces the cover, and Sonya Heller has composed a marvelous section of Lyrics titled "The Dance."

For a deep dive on author John R. Reed, consult the Rabbit Hole section, in which Steven T. Vessels interviews John about everything from chrome lizards to the serious task of mentoring and writing. An excerpt of John's forthcoming novel "Mole Train" is also included.
